Education And Unemployment in UK

The UK is a country which is considered to be one of the well-developed countries. But lately, due to worldwide health crises because of widespread deadly disease Coronavirus, it has badly affected economies and the health sector throughout the world.

Due to pandemic UK has also been suffering and facing crises. Uk has faced an increased number of death rate, which has risen over 38,000, but still, the statistics of the death rate can be increased as the risk of this deadly virus is still there.

Unemployment and labor market

Coronavirus has actually increased the unemployment rate in the UK. As the famous brands and companies, business chains of the UK are downsizing employees and there is continuous weakening in the structure of employment and unemployment is embedding deeply. The situation in Uk is very alarming due to the inactivity and halt in the business activities.

According to the surveys and statistics, more or less 7.5 million people were unable to work, or we can say that they are temporarily parted away from work and most of them were either younger or inexperienced or like the oldest labor. On the other hand, there are also such workers who are working and working during the Coronavirus pandemic, but they weren’t paid, they didn’t receive their salaries.

Due to this pandemic, people who have been downsized or have become unemployed are facing major issues in making ends meet for their family; it has become a difficult task for them to provide sustenance for their family.

UK government policies regarding unemployment have been effective, but very little because this pandemic actually severely effected the industries and labor market that even the government policies have become ineffective.

Brexit

There is another reason why the UK labor market and economy have been severely affected because recently UK quitted and withdrew from the European Union, which is also known as Brexit so which also contributed to majorly effecting the employment and economic structure of UK.

Educational sector badly affected

Not only the employment sector has been facing crises because of Coronavirus but education sector too. With the widespread of the fatal virus, the closure of schools and universities became necessary as it will be risky to let students gather in one place, which can be overcrowded. However, when the lockdown was planned and imposed in the UK so along with that universities and schools were also ordered to close, as students who were young and school-going couldn’t comprehend the seriousness of such virus, so it was a much better decision to shut the schools and let students stay at home for some time till the situation gets better. As the schools shut but the online resources like Cheap Assignment Writing Service was there to help students in continuing education is at home.

Initially, the education was totally on halt which actually impacted badly on students and they had to face a loss of studies moreover, international students who were in the UK for the education purpose were asked to leave the country as soon as possible and their enrollment was canceled even though students were already admitted in institution. Non-British students were forced to leave the country and were told to return back to their country, even knowing that their important educational years will be wasted.

Not only this, the staff and teachers who used to work in educational institutions were also being dismissed or terminated as educational institutions were closed. however, the UK is at greater risk of facing the loss of 6.7 billion pounds if the non-UK and non-EU students weren’t entertained and did not let to acquire the education by living in the UK

University projects and research work has also been on pause because of the pandemic as the government is utilizing most of the funds in the health sector, so universities are also facing difficulties in completing the ongoing research work.

The intensity of pandemic is decreased

However, the situation all over the world is getting better day by day and the intensity of the virus is decreasing with the passing days and it is expected that all over the world and in UK even the things and life will come back to normalcy but with some safety precautions. The government has decided to lift up the strict lockdown but obviously, the government will slowly and gradually reopen the state. As the situation is getting better and the virus seems to be declining the activity in the industries and businesses have started again and its hoped that the after some time the economy will be stable again and employment rate will decline as the people will go back to their jobs because now the business activities have resumed again. The economy will take its time to become strong and will flourish because it has gone through some major crises because of the outbreak.

Future strategy

The educational sector is also reopening the educational institutions are also decided to be functional. And due to the outbreak, it has taught new ways of teaching and educating students who will be adopted now so that in future, God forbid such a situation occurs so the educational sector won’t be adversely impacted.

For both, the sectors the employment and educational new ways and techniques have been learned, which will avoid the hindrances and will let overcome the difficult times. in the educational sector, new ways of educating such as online classes, online exams, admissions, and much more have taught us that no such pandemic or outbreak can stop or pause the acquiring of education as technology can be utilized. Secondly, for the employment sector, techniques such as work from home, online meetings and deals, alternate days to attend offices, and online businesses has taught how we can still manage to earn by staying at home during the difficult situation.

However, the educational and employment sector of the UK will start doing better as the things and situations are going back towards the normal routine, but it will take some time to fulfill or compensate for the loss which the economy faced. The economy is weak, but still with good and effective government policies, and strategies the economy can stand back as this outbreak is weakening.
